According to the print edition of Corriere dello Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness), Lazio are now plotting a move for Tottenham winger Bryan Gil.
Over the last couple of weeks, plenty of reports from Italy have suggested that Gil is on Fiorentina’s radar, with the Viola allegedly plotting a loan move for the winger (La Nazione).
In the last few days, it has also been reported that both Sevilla and Real Sociedad had also entered the race for the 22-year-old’s signature (Vamos Mi Sevilla).

Lazio now keen on signing Bryan Gil from Tottenham
Corriere have now said that Lazio are the latest club to express an interest in Gil, pointing out that the Tottenham man has been a long-term target for Maurizio Sarri.
The report alleges that Spurs are open to loaning out the winger as he is not in Ange Posteoclgou’s plans, with the Lilywhites also ready to accept an option to buy as a part of the deal.
Lazio allegedly see Gil as a ‘talent waiting for the right opportunity’, with Sarri thought to be quite appreciative of the player’s technical quality.
In fact, it is asserted that the Italian manager is ‘convinced’ that he would be able to get the best out of the Spain international at the Stadio Olimpico.

The race for Gil’s signature is likely to heat up over the next 10 days and I would not be surprised if a few more clubs vie for the 22-year-old’s signature, particularly given that he is now available on loan. La Liga clubs will have the edge in the race since the winger will probably prefer to return to Spain.
