Report: Former Spurs academy starlet snubs Arsenal to sign deal with Man United

Manchester United have secured the signing of highly-rated midfielder Omari Forson, who was previously on the books of Tottenham, according to a report in the Daily Mail.

The 15-year, who was reportedly deemed one of the best prospects in the country, was stolen from under Tottenham’s noses by Manchester United last summer.

His decision to join United came as a big blow to Tottenham given how highly thought of the attacking midfielder was at Spurs.

Forson has gone on to impress with United’s Under-16 and Under-18 teams this season, thus growing his reputation even further.

The situation could have ended even worse for Tottenham as the Lilywhites’ fierce rivals Arsenal were thought to be sniffing around the former Spurs starlet and were hoping to tie him down to a contract back in North London.

However, the Daily Mail indicates that the teenager is set to turn Arsenal down and sign his first professional contract with the Red Devils after being promoted up an age group to play with Neil Ryan’s Under-18s.
