Report: Former Tottenham regular prepared to speak to Levy over his future

Jose Mourinho admitted after the 2-0 win against Royal Antwerp on Thursday evening that he believes that it is impossible to keep his whole squad happy.

Mourinho made nine changes from his side which beat Arsenal in the Premier League for the visit of the Belgian’s, with Harry Winks being one player who came back into the side.

Winks has mostly had to settle for Europa League football after only appearing in four of Tottenham’s ten Premier League matches to date (transfermarkt).

Winks departed down the tunnel straight after being substituted in the second half against Antwerp while Dele Alli, who did not feature at all and also left the bench briefly after Mourinho had made his fifth and final change.

The Telegraph claim that Winks is ready to speak to chairman Daniel Levy about his future at his boyhood club.

The 24-year-old is said to be concerned about his lack of first team opportunities and is worried about his place in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the European Championship’s next summer.

Winks admitted last month that his situation at Tottenham is difficult having featured regularly for the Three Lions in the recent international fixture schedule (Sky Sports).
