Report: Former Tottenham transfer guru to make approach for midfielder

Former Tottenham Hotspur Head of Recruitment Paul Mitchell is reported to be keen on raiding his old employer for the services of Dele Alli.

Mitchell who is now Monaco’s sporting director is said to be interested in taking the England international to Ligue 1.

Dele’s future at Tottenham has been the subject of speculation with reports claiming that Paris Saint-Germain were keen to take him on a season long loan deal but have been able to reach a financial agreement with the North Londoners (Telegraph).

Mitchell is credited as being the man who spotted the talent of Dele during his time at MK Dons (Mirror) and brought him to Tottenham in 2015 (Sky Sports).

90min claim that Monaco will make an approach to Tottenham and would only be able to afford hin on a loan basis.

Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho admitted earlier this week that he is convinced that the England international will remain at the club beyond the current transfer window which slams shut on October 5th (Sky Sports).
