Report: Forward is ‘extremely keen’ to seal a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur

TEAMtalk reveal that Timo Werner has now informed his representatives that he wants to seal a permanent move to Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season.

Over the last week, several sources have talked up the chances of Werner staying put at Spurs beyond the end of his loan spell, which runs out at the end of the season.

The latest such update came a couple of days ago from Florian Plettenberg, who explained that the German international feels ‘very comfortable’ at Tottenham.

He suggested that even if the Lilywhites do not take up the £15m option to sign the forward permanently, the player is still open to leave RB Leipzig in the summer.

Timo Werner wants to stay at Tottenham

TEAMtalk have now stated that the 28-year-old is ‘extremely keen’ to make a permanent move to Hotspur Way at the end of the season.

The outlet says that Werner loves playing under Ange Postecoglou and is more than happy to commit his future to Spurs if the Australian remains at the club.

The on-loan Leipzig man is allegedly keen to prove that he can succeed in the Premier League and is thought to have informed his representatives about his desire to stay at N17.

Tottenham’s decision could depend on a number of factors, including the salary that Werner demands. However, one would not expect the 28-year-old to make outrageous demands, given that he appears quite keen to continue at Hotspur Way.
