Report: Four clubs have now expressed interest in signing Spurs player

Estadio Deportivo have revealed that the race for Tottenham winger Bryan Gil is heating up ahead of the January transfer window.

Over recent weeks, multiple Spanish publications have reported that a loan move to a La Liga is on the cards for Gil in January.

The print edition of AS (01/12/22 – as relayed by Sport Witness) claimed at the start of this month that Valencia are plotting to re-sign the winger on loan in January after his successful spell at the Mestalla last season.

Mucho Deporte claimed earlier this week that another of Gil’s former clubs in Sevilla are also considering a move for the 21-year-old, although the Spurs man is not seen by the club as a priority signing.

Estadio Deportivo have now reported that the two aforementioned clubs have been joined by Cadiz, who already explored a move for the Spain international 12 months ago and are now ready to offer the attacker another route to La Liga.

The report adds that Real Sociedad also sounded out the Tottenham attacker about a potential loan move several weeks ago.

It is explained that the winger is keen to return to Spain again in January and wants to join a club where he will be handed a ‘leading role’.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is not surprising that so many Spanish clubs are showing interest in Gil, given the impact he has had in his last two spells in La Liga.

While the 21-year-old might prefer to return to a familiar environment in Valencia, Spurs will be keen for the player to pick a club where he would be a guaranteed starter.
