TuttoJuve claim that more Premier League clubs have now entered the race for Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners, who has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur over recent weeks.
Koopmeiners has been one of the standout midfielders on show in the Serie A for the last 18 months. The 26-year-old’s nine goals and four assists across all competitions so far this campaign have seemingly brought him to the attention of a number of clubs, including Spurs.
A couple of weeks ago, an update from from the print edition of Tuttosport (via Sport Witness) claimed that Tottenham have already begun work to sign the 26-year-old.
CalcioMercato then stated last week that Ange Postecoglou’s men are one of the leading contenders to secure the Netherlands international’s services.

Tottenham are in the race for Teun Koopmeiners
However, TuttoJuve are now reporting that the interest in Koopmeiners is ‘increasing day by day’, with a whole host of Premier League sides following the player.
The report names Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United as clubs who are now eyeing a move for the Dutchman, suggesting that they could offer as much as €50m-€60m (£42.8m-£51.3m) for the player.
The outlet adds that Juventus also hold an interest in Koopmeiners but explains that the Bianconeri may not be able to compete financially with the offers from the English sides.
Spurs Web Opinion
Atalanta generally tend to drive a hard bargain and they would certainly demand top-dollar for Koopmeiners, especially if they manage to qualify for the Champions League.
While Tottenham are likely to enter the market for a number six, it remains to be seen if they would get involved in a bidding war for the Serie A star.
