Report: Four PL sides could now challenge Spurs for 18-year-old attacker

HITC have revealed that the race for Copenhagen starlet Roony Bardghji is now heating up, with Tottenham facing competition from four other Premier League sides for the forward.

While Bardghji has been making waves in the Danish top flight for the last two years, the youngster has been catapulted to the limelight over the last couple of months owing to his impressive displays in the Champions League this season.

Tottenham are thought to be one of the 18-year-old’s admirers, with 90 min claiming last month that the Lilywhites had scouted the teenager extensively this season.

A couple of weeks ago, InterLive.it also named Spurs as Inter Milan’s main competitors for the young wide forward, with the outlet suggesting that Ange Postecoglou had personally requested the signing of the player.

Competition heating up for Roony Bardghji

HITC have now confirmed that Tottenham do indeed have a close eye on Bardghji and are plotting a January move.

However, they say that the North London club are far from the Sweden Undert-21 international’s only admirers, with Aston Villa, Brentford, Manchester United and Newcastle United thought to have reached out to Copenhagen about the player’s availability.

The report claims that Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Napoli are also watching Bardghji’s situation and add that it would take an offer of £20m to take him away from the Danish capital.

Following Timo Wernrer’s arrival, it is quite unlikely that Tottenham would look to bring another wide-forward through the door. The Lilywhites may revisit their interest in Bardghji next summer if he stays put in Copenhagen this month.
