Report: Three Spurs players missing from training, Dier back, four youngsters included

Football.London have revealed that four of Tottenham’s academy players were seen training with the first team ahead of Tottenham’s trip to Manchester City tomorrow evening.

Antonio Conte will be hoping for a reaction from his side at the Etihad Stadium after two back-to-back home defeats against Southampton and Wolves.

Reports have indicated that Eric Dier is expected to be back for the clash but Oliver Skipp is not set to recover in time to make the trip up North (The Evening Standard).

Football.London have revealed that Dier was indeed spotted in training at Hotspur Way this week but Skipp and Japhet Tanganga, who remain out with a new problem, did not take part.

Additionally, the report states that Sergio Reguilon was also nowhere to be seen in any of the training photographs or footage released by the club.

It is revealed that four players from the development squad – Dane Scarlett, Alfie Devine, Harvey White and Tobi Omole – trained with the first team.

Spurs Web Opinion

Sergio Reguilon’s absence from training is a concern. Perhaps, the reason Reguilon was benched in favour of Sessegnon against Wolves was due to the Spaniard not being 100 per cent fit. However, it is a big boost to have Dier back as we have to be defensively resolute to come away with anything from the Etihad.
