Report: Free agent linked with Spurs offered £50,000-per-week contract by other PL club

According to The Daily Mail, Crystal Palace have offered rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target, Ryan Fraser, a lucrative new contract.

Fraser has been a free agent since his contract with Bournemouth expired on June 30 and Tottenham were previously installed as the favourites to snap him up (Mirror).

Despite Arsenal also reportedly being interested in him (90min), it was even alleged that the winger had told his friends that he prefered a move to Jose Mourinho’s side (Football Insider).

However, the speculation linking Spurs with a move for Fraser seems to have died down over the past few weeks, with the club now being linked with more high profile wide options likes Ivan Perisic (Calciomercato) and Wilfried Zaha (talkSPORT).

The Daily Mail has now claimed Palace want to move swiftly to snap up Fraser as they aim to reduce the average age of their squad.

It is claimed that the club have offered a £50,000-per-week contract to the Scotland international, which is almost double the £27,000-a-week he was previously earning at the Vitality Stadium.

Even if we were to snap up Fraser, he would be nothing more than a big-part player for us. A club like Palace is where he is likely to end up this summer if he wants to continue playing regularly in the Premier League. If Fraser signs, one would imagine they would also be more likely to sell Zaha, seeing as the winger seems keen to leave.
