Report: French club are planning to make Spurs an offer they ‘cannot refuse’

According to reports out of France, Paris Saint-Germain are now plotting a huge offer for Harry Kane that Tottenham Hotspur ‘cannot refuse’, and the Ligue 1 giants are attempting to come to an agreement with the player around a move this summer.

Things may be looking up for Tottenham since the arrival of new boss Ange Postecoglou, who has acted swiftly and shrewdly in the transfer market and has got fans excited by the prospect of attacking football returning to North London once more.

However, a dark cloud lingers over the club right now with the future of Harry Kane in the balance.

With just one year left on his current contract, speculation is mounting that the striker may look to move on and win trophies at another club.

At this stage, it is Bayern Munich who appear most likely to snap up the England captain this summer.

The German outfit are believed to have had two offers for Kane rejected already, but there is apparently confidence within the club that a deal can be completed in the next two to three weeks (Florian Plettenberg).

PSG planning big offer for Harry Kane

However, French champions PSG are circling the 29-year-old, too, and the latest from Foot Mercato suggests the club are pushing to find an agreement with both Spurs and Kane regarding a summer transfer.

It is thought that PSG’s interest in Kane has “not waned” despite the player’s apparent “fondness” for a move to Germany.

The report claims the French club are “still active behind the scenes” as the look to “convince” Kane to join them instead.

Should Kane be swayed, it is expected PSG will then send Tottenham an offer they “cannot refuse.”

Should their attempts fail, it is suggested PSG will turn their attention to Juventus attacker Dusan Vlahovic.

We already know that PSG are far more likely to be able to spend the kind of money that would persuade Daniel Levy to part ways with Kane.

The problem for PSG will be in convincing Kane that a move to the French league is worth abandoning Spurs for.
