Report: French club have already received six bids for star player and Tottenham target

Tottenham Hotspur have already poached a couple of stars from Lille this season to fill up their backroom coaching staff, but could they return for a player this month?

It has now been reported that Lille have received six bids for their star player Boubakary Soumare, whois held in high regard across Europe.

The Daily Mail state that Manchester United and Tottenham are both interested in the player, but face tough competition from other clubs around Europe.

The Mail also state that Lille turned down a £34m offer for the defensive midfielder back in the summer, as they are holding out for a value of £50m.

L’Equipe (as quoted by Get Football News France) have stated that six clubs have already submitted bids, although the teams are not named.

Daily Mail claim that Spurs, Man United, Real Madrid, Napoli, Valencia, and Man City have all been linked in the past, perhaps hinting that they could make up the six.
