Report: French manager received three offers – Including one from Spurs

TuttoMercatoWeb have reported that former Lille manager, Christophe Galtier received three different offers this week, including one from Tottenham Hotspur.

The Spurs head coach position is vacant now that Ryan Mason’s interim period has come to an end and the club are looking to replace Jose Mourinho who was sacked in late April.

Galtier’s stock is on the rise, unsurprisingly, this summer after the manager led Lille to a historic French league title ahead of Pochettino’s PSG.

Before landing the Lille job in 2017, Galtier had spent eight seasons with St. Etienne, making him somewhat of an unknown quantity outside of the French league.

Following his Ligue 1 win, Galtier parted ways with Lille but an expected move to Nice has apparently hit a roadblock due to the compensation payment involved.

Due to this new development, it is said that Tottenham, Real Madrid and Lazio had submitted offers to the French manager, with the Spanish side since moving to appoint Everton’s Carlo Ancelotti as a replacement for Zinedine Zidane.
