Report: French news outlet reveals significant development in Ndombele’s transfer

Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on the signing of Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele, according to French news outlet Telefoot.

A deal for the French midfielder is said to be “close” and the final details will be ironed out “in the coming days” as Spurs agree to a €63m plus bonuses deal with the Ligue 1 oufit.

It is also reported the 22-year-old has already agreed to sign for the Lilywhites on a five-year deal having been convinced to join the club by manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Telefoot also broke the interview with Ndombele earlier in the month where the midfielder admitted he would be open to a move to Spurs.

“Yes, it’s true that Tottenham is a great team, it’s a big club, they finished 4th in their league, they’re a finalist in the Champions League, it’s still a big club like any other,” he said.

“Which player would not be interested in a big club? ”

Ndombele has been heavily linked with a move away from Lyon this summer with the likes of Manchester United and Juventus both keen on acquiring the youngster’s services. (Football.London)

However, it now seems there is only one team the Frenchman is likely to be playing for next season as Spurs edge ever closer to securing the 22-year-old’s signature.
