Report: Fulham enter race for target Spurs have been tracking ‘for months’

Tottenham Hotspur are thought to have been leading the race for Samuel Iling-Junior for some time now, but London rivals Fulham have now joined the pursuit of the Juventus winger.

Spurs have been tracking the situation concerning Samuel Iling-Junior since late last year, when a switch in the January transfer window was mooted but never came to fruition.

It is thought the 20-year-old is set for the Juventus exit door at the end of the season, with the Italian side looking to raise funds (as per Gazzetta dello Sport via Sport Witness).

A number of Premier League clubs have been linked with the former Chelsea youngster, with the likes of Brighton and West Ham also mentioned in relation to Iling-Junior already (Football Insider).

Can Fulham win the race for Samuel Iling-Junior?

Now, according to TuttoSport, Tottenham have yet another team to compete with if they are to sign Iling-Junior this summer, with London neighbours Fulham coming into the picture of late.

The report describes Iling-Junior as “a real treasure” for Juventus, as he is a player they can sell this summer, as long as a “good offer” comes in for the Englishman.

The latest update suggests London is looking like a very probable destination for Iling-Junior, with two clubs now very interested in signing him. While Spurs have been tracking him “for months,” Fulham’s intentions have become apparent “decidedly more recent,” just a “few weeks ago,” in fact.

No “concrete proposals” have been made yet, but Fulham are believed to be keen on revamping their wide options with Iling-Junior in mind.

Spurs Web Opinion

I really think a club like Fulham is more the level Samuel Iling-Junior is suited for. He’s a solid prospect, but I just don’t think he’s got what it takes to be a regular starter for Spurs at all.
