Report: Fulham in talks to sign £7m-rated attacker who was linked with Spurs

According to The Telegraph’s John Percy, Fulham are now pushing ahead with a move to sign Shakhtar Donetsk winger Manor Solomon, who was previously reported to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Solomon has developed into one of the top talents in Ukrainian football since joining Shakhtar from Maccabi Petah Tikva in 2019.

The winger, who can play on either flank, has scored four times in 16 league appearances this season and his current contract at Shakhtar runs until December 2023 (Transfermarkt).

TEAMtalk reported in October of last year that Tottenham were ‘keeping a close check’ on the 22-year-old ahead of the January transfer window.

The Israeli international’s agent told Sport 5 in January that his client will leave Shaktar in the near future and that he would prefer a move to the Premier League or La Liga.

Percy has now taken to social media to reveal that Fulham, who look set to win promotion to the top flight, have identified Soloman as a replacement for Liverpool-bound Fabio Carvalho.

The journalist revealed that talks are ongoing between the Cottagers and Shakhtar over a £7m deal for the winger.

Spurs Web Opinion

Solomon has not shown enough to suggest that he is good enough to even be a squad player for a top 4/top 6 club. The fact that he looks bound for Fulham tells you all that you need to know. Spurs should certainly be going for a higher calibre of players if they are to expect Conte to stay.
