Report: Gabriel Jesus’ agents travelling to England to push through a transfer

According to Goal, Gabriel Jesus’ representatives are now travelling to England to push through the striker’s move to Arsenal.

Jesus is thought to be on the radars of both Spurs and Arsenal this summer, with The Daily Mirror reporting on Sunday that Antonio Conte’s men were trying to steal the Manchester City star from under the Gunners’ noses.

The report claimed that Antonio Conte is impressed by the Brazilian’s versatility and that Tottenham had made a move to ‘shatter’ Arsenal’s negotiations by offering Champions League football to the forward.

However, Fabrizio Romano subsequently revealed on Tuesday that despite interest from both Spurs and Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal’s negotiations with City for Jesus are at a ‘very advanced stage’.

Goal have now revealed that there is hope between all parties that an agreement to take the forward to the Emirates can be reached ‘quickly’.

It is said that Jesus is expected to cost Mikel Arteta’s side £50m and that the forward’s representatives are on their way to England to finalise the transfer.

I always expected Arsenal to win the race for Jesus as not only does he have a relationship with Arteta but he would also be guaranteed to be the main-man upfront at the Emirates. The last thing Jesus would have wanted is to swap the City bench for the Spurs one.
