Report: Gareth Bale pulls out of Tottenham meet up tomorrrow

Tottenham Hotspur were set to come face-to-face with one of their former stars and fan favourites tomorrow when they take on Real Madrid in the Audi Cup.

This comes after the Welsh wizard, Gareth Bale, saw his proposed big-money move to China called off at the last minute by Real Madrid (Sun). Bale is said to have been left ‘fuming’ by the decision.

The Chinese Super League transfer window shuts on Wednesday and Gareth Bale is now expected to remain at Madrid for the time being (Standard).

Tottenham will play Real Madrid at the Allianz Arena on July 30 in the semi-final of the Audi Cup, but Bale has reportedly now pulled out of the match as he is too ‘distressed’ from the collapsed China deal (Standard).

The Evening Standard claimed that Tottenham are one of the clubs who could be interested in the Welshman. This comes after Spurs apparently made contact with Madrid earlier in the summer about Gareth Bale, before he agreed a move to China (Express).

Any dreams of Poch grabbing a quick private chat with the Welshman in Germany appear to have vanished.
