Report: Gareth Bale makes decision on his footballing future

According to MadridistaReal, Gareth Bale has decided to see out the final year of his contract at Real Madrid.

Even though Bale had a slow start to his loan spell back at Tottenham last season, the Welshman showed his quality in the final few months, ending the campaign with 16 goals in all competitions.

However, he did not have the impact he would have hoped for in the European Championship after Wales went out to Denmark in the round of 16 stage of the competition.

Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett has confirmed that Spurs do not have an option to extend his loan deal by another season, which means that the Lilywhites would have to renegotiate a deal with Real Madrid if they hope to re-sign the 31-year-old.

Some sources have indicated that Nuno Espirito Santo could give the green light for a fresh approach for Bale this summer.

However, according to the latest information from MadridistaReal, Bale does not want a transfer away from Real Madrid.

The forward has decided to fulfil the final 12 months of his deal at the Spanish capital, with ‘everything indicating’ that he is likely to feature under new boss Carlo Ancelotti next season.

Bale proved in the final few months of last campaign that he can still be a potent threat in the final third. However, I do wonder if the Welshman’s body would physically be able to handle the demands of Nuno’s style of play. Carlo Ancelotti might well be a lot more accommodating with the 31-year-old with regards to workload than the Portuguese coach would be.
