Report: Gedson Fernandes now wanted by top French side

Fotomac have reported that Tottenham flop, Gedson Fernandes, may have fallen on his feet ahead of the summer transfer window, with Marseille now interested in the Portuguese youngster.

Fernandes is currently on loan at Turkish side, Galatasaray for the remainder of the campaign after his Spurs loan was cut short earlier this year.

Fotomac claim that Marseille are eyeing up a potential move for the Benfica midfielder as a replacement for Oliver Ntcham, who is only on loan at the French club.

Spurs fans may remember that former manager, Andre Villas-Boas actually parted ways with Marseille due to the signing of Oliver Ntcham as he did not want the player.

Marseille have reportedly already held initial talks with Benfica over a possible move and Galatasaray are apparently not interested in taking Fernandes on a permanent deal.

Marseille currently sit sixth in the French league table, although a Champions League place looks to be too far away from the club this season.
