Tottenham Hotspur have had various defensive problems this season under both Mauricio Pochettino and the new head coach Jose Mourinho.
Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen, once an infamous pairing, fell into some woeful form at the start of the season, although both have improved.
Having said that, the duo are both out of contract at the end of the season and could leave on free transfers if a sale or new deal is not agreed.
Meanwhile, the full-back positions have been a problem, with Danny Rose playing poorly and Serge Aurier looking a liability towards the start of the season.
However, the one constant and reliable source of defending has come from 23-year-old Davinson Sanchez, who seems to now be playing his best football at Tottenham.
But, could the big dogs be coming in for him already? Don Balon have reported that Barcelona legend Gerard Pique has approved the signing of Sanchez, although no one quite knows why he would need to do this.
