Report: German club continue to hold internal talks about Tottenham player

Journalist Christian Falk has revealed on his YouTube channel (as translated by Bavarian Football Works) that Bayern Munich have not yet abandoned their pursuit of Harry Kane.

The noises coming out of Tottenham over the last week suggest that the club have no intention of selling Kane this summer despite the striker having just one year left to run on his contract.

90 min asserted recently that the North London club have informed the striker’s entourage that they will not entertain offers for him this summer.

Journalist Graeme Bailey told Chasing Green Arrows YouTube channel earlier this week that Daniel Levy has promised Ange Postecoglou that the England captain will be at the club next season.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich’s new president Herbert Hainer seemed to rule out a move for the Tottenham man, telling Bild on June 12 (as translated by Sport Witness) that the club’s total summer transfer budget is just €100m (£86m).

Bayern are continuing to talk about Harry Kane

However, Falk has now said that the Bavarians are still working on a ‘big solution’ for the number nine role, with Kane being the biggest name on their wishlist.

The journalist asserts that despite the 29-year-old rejecting a move to Munich already, the Bundesliga giants still have ‘hope’ and are continuing to speak about the Englishman internally.

Bayern are wasting their time as I do not think Kane would consider moving to Germany this summer, particularly when he is likely to have full power to choose from a whole host of potential destinations when his contract with Spurs runs out in 12 months.
