Report: German club make move for Spurs star

Tottenham Hotspur have gone from heroes to zeroes in the Champions League over the last few months after making the final in Madrid back in June.

Spurs managed to defeat some of the biggest names in European football on their way to the final last year, including Borussia Dortmund, Man City, and the in-form Ajax youngsters.

However, Pochettino’s team fell at the final hurdle as Liverpool defeated them 2-0 in the final, prompting Eriksen to reveal his desire to move away from North London (Ekstra Bladet).

Fast forward a few months and Spurs were back in Europe’s top competition, this time coming up against Bayern Munich in their second group stage match.

The Germans proceeded to humiliate Tottenham 7-2 at the new Spurs stadium, which seems to have sparked yet another response from the Great Dane.

Sport1 claim that Eriksen’s representatives contacted Bayern after the defeat and the German club have now made a move for the star.

Spurs Web Opinion:

The more clubs interested in Eriksen, the better. Tottenham need some kind of bidding war to prompt an early January exit, rather than a free transfer in the summer.
