Report: German international linked with Spurs opens door for summer move

With no progress on Christian Eriksen’s contract situation, it looks like the Dane could be set to leave the club in the summer.

Spurs are rumoured to be looking for potential replacements for the 27-year-old, with the likes of Leicester City’s James Maddison and Bournemouth’s David Brooks having being linked with the club.

The club has also been linked with the Werder Breman attacker Max Kruse. The experienced campaigner has had another stellar season, having scored 11 goals and registering 13 assists across all competitions so far.

The 31-year-old’s contract with Bremen runs out at in the summer, and it doesn’t look like Kruse is going to extend his stay at the Bundesliga club.

According to the Express, When asked if he will listen to offers in the summer, the German international told Sport Bild, “Of course there are things that I would listen to. You have to say that honestly.

“If it were to happen, I would have to deal with it.”

While Kruse certainly isn’t a typical Spurs signing considering his age, there is no doubt that his firepower in front of goal would soften the blow of losing Eriksen, and so he could be an option for the short term.
