Report: German journalist claims Spurs are keen on Bayern Munich player this summer

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Jerome Boateng this summer when his contract expires at Bayern Munich.

Bild’s head of football Christian Falk took to Twitter yesterday to reveal that Spurs, along with La Liga giants Barcelona are keen to sign him as a free agent.

Bayern Munich are set for big changes in defence this summer after sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic confirmed that Boateng will not be offered a new contract (Sky Sports).

The 32-year-old has made 32 appearances in all competitions for Bayern this season, scoring two goals (transfermarkt).

The German outfit moved earlier this year to agree to a deal with RB Leipzig which will see central defender Dayot Upamecano move to the Bundesliga champions at the end of the season on a long-term deal until June 2026 (Bundesliga).

Tottenham have struggled defensively this season with Jose Mourinho continually chopping and changing his central pairing with Eric Dier, Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez and Joe Rodon all being utilised.
