Report: German journalist reveals Bayern’s optimism over when Kane deal could be completed

Bild reporter Christian Falk has revealed that Bayern Munich are optimistic of finalising a deal for Harry Kane by the end of today after Tottenham Hotspur decided to accept their latest offer.

The news that Spurs fans were dreading came out earlier this monting, with The Athletic’s David Ornstein confirming that a proposal from Bayern Munich worth more than €100m (£86.4m) for Kane had been accepted by the North London club.

However, the journalist seemed to hint that the deal is not quite done as the England captain will now have to decide whether he wants to make the switch to Bavaria.

Bayern hopeful of Kane transfer today

Ornstein added that the striker is enjoying life under new Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou and has been leaning towards staying, and it is thus unclear how he would react to this latest development.

However, Falk has now taken to social media to state that Bayern are optimistic that the transfer will be fully over the line today.

Spurs Web Opinion

I always expected this deal to go through eventually. Some Spurs fans seemingly got their hopes up that Harry Kane was staying due to the developments over the last couple of days but it was always clear that a deal would be agreed, given that the parties had met to hold talks on multiple occasions.
