Report: German prodigy linked with Spurs was at Wembley on Saturday

Tottenham fell to a 3-1 defeat to Wolves at home on Saturday in what was the surprise result of the weekend.

Spurs came into the game having scored 11 goals in their previous two games and most people would have fancied Spurs to continue their recent purple patch in front of goal after what was a strong first half performance by the home side.

However, Wolves came back in the second half to put three past Lloris, to leave Spurs fans going home disappointed. Apparently, one of the people who attended the game at Wembley was Hamburg striker Jann-Fiete Arp.

Some Spurs fans noticed the fact that the youngster posted this from his official Instagram handle yesterday:

The 18-year-old forward has a stellar record for Germany at U-17 level having scored 18 goals in 19 appearances, and great things are expected off the striker in the coming years, in his homeland.

What’s more is Arp has previously gone on record saying that he tries to model his game based on Harry Kane. “There are many good strikers that you can learn a lot from by watching,” Arp told UEFA in May 2017. “But if there was just one player I had to pick as my role model, it’s Harry Kane.”

“He plays the way I want to play. He’s quick and very comfortable with and without the ball. It’s difficult to stop him. You need to pay attention for 90 minutes because he can score at any time.”

He further added, “He went through all the youth teams in his club, became a first-team player at that club and was even the Premier League’s top scorer, twice,” Arp explained. “Now, he’s an international. In the space of three years, Kane has made every step that you dream of as a young player.”

Arp has been previously linked with a move to Tottenham by German publication BILD, who claimed Spurs were looking to do a deal for the player last summer after Hamburg’s relegation from the Bundesliga.

While the result might not have gone in Spurs’ favor, at least the youngster got to witness a fantastic strike from his idol Harry Kane.
