Report gives update on Hugo Lloris injury situation

Tottenham Hotspur fell to a 2-0 defeat at home to Chelsea last week, wasting a chance to go above the Blues into the top four with a win.

Chelsea’s second goal in that game came from a horrendous error from goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga, who seemingly came out to collect an easy ball before handing the Blues a penalty.

Gazzaniga is currently stepping in to cover for Spurs’ captain and first-choice shot-stopper, Hugo Lloris, who has been out injured since the start of the season in a game against Brighton.

The Argentine has been a safe pair of hands, for the most part, but such a big error on a big stage may raise a few doubts in the mind of Jose Mourinho.

Lloris recently told L’Equipe that he has never known pain like this recent dislocated elbow.

Mourinho has also stated that Lloris should be back in February (Football London), and Football London have now issued an update that Lloris is still on track for a New Year return.

Premier Injuries have listed the first of February as a potential return date.
