Report: Good news for Spurs fans who want Danny Rose to stay at the club

A report from the Daily Mail has stated that there has been no concrete interest in left-back Danny Rose as of yet this summer. Phone calls have been made but that is as far as anything has gone as of yet.

This comes after Rose was left out of the pre-season tour squad in order to explore possible exits from the club (Tottenham).

This will be music to the ears of some Spurs fans after he put in a solid campaign last season. Rose struggled with injuries and depression during the 2017/18 campaign but looked to be back to his best last time out.

Spurs have been linked to exciting young Fulham full-back Ryan Sessegnon (Mirror) and this has put Rose’s future at the club in jeopardy, with The Mirror reporting that he is one of 8 players who have been put on the transfer list.

Ben Davies has signed a new five-year deal, which could show that he will be Poch’s preferred choice next season (Standard).

Spurs Web Opinion

Selling Danny Rose would be an odd decision, he is an established first team member and is a quality option at the back. Selling Rose would also leave us without quality depth in the fullback position, with Trippier already gone.
