Report: Growing unease at Spurs regarding PL club’s managerial pursuit

The Daily Mail have reported there is growing unease at Tottenham regarding Manchester United’s managerial pursuit.

The report reveals that Ajax boss Erik Ten Hag and former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino are the two leading contenders to replace Ralf Ranginck at the end of the season.

It is claimed that while Ten Hag has the backing of Rangnick, Sir Alex Ferguson endorses Pochettino for the job.

The report adds that there is unease at Spurs about the Red Devils’ managerial pursuit, suggesting that Antonio Conte replacing Pochettino at Paris Saint-German cannot be ruled out.

This news comes on the back of a report by Football Insider, who claimed last week that Pochettino would jump at the chance to return to Tottenham in the summer, with the Argentine said to still have great affection for the Lilywhites.

Meanwhile, The Athletic have reported recently that Man Utd want to snap up Harry Kane this summer, irrespective of who replaced Rangnick at the helm.

I do not see Conte walking away from Spurs in the summer and I expect the Italian to be backed in the summer transfer window. The only concern at Tottenham could revolve around Kane potentially pushing for a move to Old Trafford if the Red Devils appoint Pochettino.
