Report: Harry Kane could break yet another Premier League record against Wolves

Tottenham Hotspur centre-forward Harry Kane could get another goalscoring record in the match against Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend, according to BBC Sport.

Tottenham faces off against Wolves in their third Premier League fixture on Saturday as they look to maintain what has been a solid start to the season.

Kane, in particular, will be looking to build on the goal he scored against Chelsea at the weekend, potentially breaking yet another record if he nets against Wolves.

The England international has earned himself a reputation for being a slow starter when it comes to scoring goals, particularly in August. However, that was not the case in the recent London derby, as his 96th-minute equaliser gave Spurs a point at Stamford Bridge despite their poor display.

The 29-year-old’s goal against the Blues brought him level as the player with the joint-most goals scored for a single club in the Premier League. Kane is currently sharing that record with Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero with 184 goals to their names.

Kane can break that record and go clear on his own against Wolves should he score past Jose Sa.

Kane beat Newcastle United great Alan Shearer for the most Premier League goals in a calendar year back in the 2017-18 season (Premier League). Kane is also the North Londoners’ top scorer in the PL and European competitions (Transfermarkt).

Spurs Web Opinion:

It would not be surprising to see Kane break more goalscoring records considering the incredible personal achievements he has earned over the years.

The talisman moving clear of Aguero in the next match would be the perfect way for the Englishman to start this new campaign.
