Report: Harry Kane is a major doubt to face Everton

Tottenham Hotspur could be dealt a major blow ahead of today’s Premier League match at Everton.

Football.London report that star striker Harry Kane is considered a doubt for the trip to Goodison Park with an unspecified injury.

Kane’s absence would cause a huge inconvenience for Spurs who are without a back-up ‘out and out striker’ following the double summer departure of Fernando Llorente and Vincent Janssen.

The striker, who has been captaining the side in the absence of long term absentee Hugo Lloris has had an impressive personal start to the Premier League season having scored six goals in ten top flight appearances (Premier League).

Opinion

If he is to miss the match, it could mean that Heung-min Son plays as the leading striker with Lucas Moura, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli playing just behind the South Korean.

Hopefully, Kane’s problem is nothing major after he missed significant game time last season with an ankle injury.
