The Daily Mail have revealed that Harry Kane is currently self-isolating at home after only returning from holiday earlier this week.

Reports emerged on Monday that Kane had not shown up at Hotspur Way for his COVID tests in an effort to put pressure on Tottenham to allow him to leave this summer.

City are thought to be confident of securing a deal for the England captain and are allegedly prepared to play the waiting game as the player turns up the pressure on Spurs.

However, it was revealed earlier today that the 28-year-old was set to return to Hotspur Way later this week and felt that the situation had been blown out of proportion.

The Mail have now revealed that Kane can only return to training after taking a five-day Covid test since he has returned from holiday at the Bahamas.

It is explained that the striker only returned from the Caribbean over the past 48 hours and is serving a 10 day quarantine period due to entering an amber list destination.

However, should Kane returns a negative test in the ‘Test to Release’ Covid procedure on day five, it is said that he will be allowed to return to training on Sunday.

If this was actually the case, I am sure Tottenham would have clarified the situation on Monday rather than refusing to comment. This seems like a move aimed at damage control by Kane’s entourage after seeing the reaction to his antics.
