Report: Harry Kane is set to sign a ‘lucrative new deal’ – Not the one Tottenham want

The Sun have claimed that Harry Kane looks set to sign a lucrative new boot deal after his contract with Nike came to an end.

If reports over the last couple of weeks are to be believed, Tottenham are prepared to make Kane the highest-paid player in the Premier League by offering him a contract worth £400,000 per week if he is willing to commit his future to the North London club (Telegraph).

However, multiple outlets have claimed over the last few days that the striker has no intention of signing a new deal when the transfer window is open as he is keen on completing a switch to Bayern Munich (The Times).

New big-money boot deal coming for Harry Kane

Whether Kane stays at Spurs or joins Bayern, it looks like the striker is set to sign a lucrative new deal this summer, with The Sun reporting that his contract with the US sports equipment manufacturer, Nike, has now come to an end.

The report reveals that the 29-year-old wore, as shown in the image above, blacked-out boots during Tottenham’s open training session in front of 6,000 fans at the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok, with the England captain now said to be in line for a fresh sponsorship.

Kane’s marketability will only grow if he joins Bayern Munich as there is no doubt that he is going to score an astonishing amount of goals for the German club in the Bundesliga and the Champions League.

So, it might be a ploy by the striker’s entourage to wait for a transfer to go through before negotiating a new sponsorship agreement with various suitors.
