Report: Harry Kane no longer considered priority signing for club this summer

Gazzetta dello Sport have revealed that Harry Kane is no longer at the top of Bayern Munich’s wishlist ahead of the summer transfer window.

We covered a report from The Independent a couple of days ago, which claimed that Bayern are keen to test Tottenham’s resolve with an offer for Kane when the transfer window opens in the summer.

The report added that the Bundesliga giants are aware that the striker would prefer to remain in England, but they want to ‘test the situation’ as Daniel Levy remains ‘adamant’ that he will not sell Tottenham’s talisman to another English club.

However, if Gazzetta’s latest update is to be believed, Kane has now fallen behind the likes of Napoli’s Victor Osimhen on Bayern’s wishlist.

It is explained that the Tottenham man was initially ‘the big favourite’ as he was seen as the heir to Robert Lewandowski by the German club.

However, while the forward offer an ‘absolute guarantee’, Thomas Tuchel’s men are now looking for a more long-term solution.

That is why names such as Osimhen and Randal Kolo Muani have allegedly grown in prominence.

Spurs Web Opinion

A move to Bayern was never really on the cards for Kane this summer as we know that the striker desperately wants to break Alan Shearer’s Premier League record.

Man Utd remain the only viable option for the 29-year-old and it remains to be seen if Levy would be willing to enter into negotiations with the Red Devils.
