Report: Harry Kane set to make request to Daniel Levy after Leeds defeat

According to a report from The Sun, Harry Kane is set to make an appeal to Daniel Levy to be open to offers for him during this summer’s transfer window.

Previous reports claimed that Kane will ask to leave Tottenham this summer if the club do not manage to get back into the Champions League, an objective that looks beyond reach for Ryan Mason’s men after their 3-1 loss to Leeds United yesterday.

Some sources have suggested that holding on to Kane is one of Spurs’ priorities heading into this summer’s transfer window.

The Sun now report that the 27-year-old is aware that the club will not let him go unless he asks for a transfer.

It is asserted that while the striker will stop short of submitting a transfer request, he will request Levy to be open to bids.

Manchester United are said to be readying a £90m offer for the England captain but it is explained that it would take a huge big to tempt the Spurs chairman, who values Kane at around £175m.

Spurs Web Opinion

The only chance that Kane has of leaving Spurs this summer is if he puts his foot down and demands a move like Berbatov did. That is something I cannot see the striker doing.

However, he will probably be thinking about running his contract down and getting a move away in a year if we do not show signs of improvement on the pitch.
