Report: Harry Kane tells team mates whether he wishes to face Brentford

Harry Kane has told his Tottenham Hotspur team mates that he is ready to take to the field in the Boxing Day clash against Brentford, according to the Daily Mail.

The 29-year-old was back in training with Antonio Conte’s side yesterday for the first time since returning from his involvement in the World Cup with England.

Kane’s return to Hotspur Way was twelve days on from his heartbreak in Qatar where he sent the ball sailing several feet over the French goalkeeper and his Tottenham Hotspur teammate Hugo Lloris, in the 83rd minute of the match, essentially sealing a 2-1 win and a place in the semi-final for France.

The report claims that Kane was in an upbeat mood at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday evening, having turned up to watch his side play out a 1-1 draw with French outfit Nice in their final mid-season friendly fixture.

Kane was said to have left his colleagues under no illusion that he wants to be considered for selection at the Brentford Community Stadium.

Kane is the ultimate professional and it would be surprising if he did not feature at Brentford, given his desire to score goals and hunt down Alan Shearer’s Premier League record. Especially with Richarlison sidelined due to a hamstring injury, Spurs certainly need to call upon their talisman on Monday as they look to keep their place in the top four.
