Harry Kane will allegedly abandon his plans to leave Tottenham after the club’s appointment of Antonio Conte, according to The Sun.
The 52-year-old was hired by Tottenham on Tuesday, just a day after Nuno Espirito Santo and his staff were relieved of their duties.
The Sun claim Conte’s arrival in North London has lifted the spirits of the entire Spurs squad, in particular striker Kane, who has looked completely out of sorts so far this season.
The report claims the England captain is ‘delighted’ with Spurs’ appointment of the Italian and believes the former Chelsea boss can lead the club to silverware, which may cause him to make a U-turn with his intentions to depart the club.
Kane attempted to force a move to Manchester City throughout the summer after allegedly making his intentions to leave Spurs known to the club’s chiefs.
A move never came to fruition, however, meaning the 28-year-old was forced to stay put beyond the summer window.
He has had a difficult start to the season and currently sits on just one Premier League goal in nine appearances, with his only tally coming in the 3-2 win against Newcastle.

A managerial appointment of Conte’s calibre should lift the spirits of a team, and it would be very concerning if it didn’t. Hopefully, this appointment will be the one to kick-start Kane’s campaign, similar to how Jose Mourinho did last season.
