Report: Fan favourite will have to force a transfer to leave Spurs this summer

Sky Sports have revealed that Harry Kane would have to drive an exit from Tottenham Hotspur this summer as Daniel Levy has no intention of selling the striker despite Manchester United’s interest.

The report states that there is a ‘growing concern’ at Spurs that Kane will not sign a new contract this summer, given the current turbulence in N17 following Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici’s departures.

However, it is revealed that Levy’s current stance is that the 29-year-old will not be on the market this summer irrespective of whether he signs a new deal or not.

Sky Sports state that while United are long-term admirers of Kane, they do not want to enter a war of attrition with the Spurs chairman this summer.

The report claims that the Old Trafford hierarchy would ‘absolutely explore a deal’ for the England captain if everything aligned but they do not have any appetite to get dragged into a drawn-out transfer saga.

It is explained that Erik Ten Hag wants to recruit a new centre-forward as early in the transfer window as possible.

It will thus be up to Kane himself to force a move away from Tottenham if he desires a switch to the Manchester club.

I believe Kane will wait until Tottenham announce a new head coach to make a decision on his future.

If we manage to get Nagelsmann, I believe that the striker would be tempted to sign a new deal even if we fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
