The Telegraph have reported that Harry Kane will hold talks with Nuno Espirito Santo this evening ahead of Tottenham’s Premier League opener against Man City on Sunday.
Spurs are due to welcome the reigning champions to North London in a 16:30 kick-off but Kane has only been in team training for a couple of days.
It is said the talks between Kane and Nuno will be over whether the striker should be included in the matchday squad tomorrow, discussing whether he is physically and mentally ready for the encounter.
Nuno originally told the press that he would make his Kane decision after the Saturday training session, but it appears he will now first hold talks with the England captain himself.
This comes as Man City, Sunday’s opponents, are apparently preparing a fresh €150m offer for Kane this summer with just two weeks or so left of the transfer window.
Spurs Web Opinion:
If I was Tottenham, I would want Kane in the squad on the bench, even if he isn’t fit or ready to play. Him not being included only reduces Tottenham’s power in the situation, especially when it comes to a sale. I hope to see him on the bench.
