Report: Harry Kane will leave on a free if Spurs deny him his top transfer choice this summer

The Sun report that Harry Kane only wants a transfer to Manchester United this summer and is not interested in moving abroad at this point in his career.

Harry Kane just smashed another 30 Premier League goals in this season, despite Tottenham enduring a woeful campaign, which puts him within striking distance of Alan Shearer‘s record in the next two years.

Being so close to that infamous record, Kane is said to be disinterested in the idea of moving abroad to a European big-hitter, even if Spurs would prefer to sell him overseas.

The England captain is reportedly only interested in a Manchester United transfer, with Liverpool and Man City not in the market for a striker.

However, if Spurs do not grant him his desired exit, Kane will run his contract down and leave on a free in the summer of 2024 to explore pastures new.

Spurs Web Opinion:

It seems to me that it makes sense for all three parties involved to wait for another year. Kane will get his pick of the clubs to increase his chances of a trophy. The buying club will get a free transfer. And Tottenham will get one more year to convince Kane to sign a new deal. Cashing in on him now would get you £80m probably, but is it better to roll the dice on convincing him?
