Report: Harry Winks joins elite group of just eight Spurs stars to achieve this feat

Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Winks was handed a rare start in the Premier League against Wolves at the weekend, although the club failed to secure all three points.

Spurs took the lead inside one minute through Tanguy Ndombele, but proceeded to sit back and invite pressure rather than seeking a game-killing second.

In the end, Wolves equalised with just minutes left on the clock, leaving Jose Mourinho and his players little time to react in terms of retaking the lead.

Despite the poor result, it was a momentous night for Harry Winks at Molineux as he recorded his 100th Tottenham appearance, putting him into an elite group at the club.

Out of every single academy graduate in the club’s history, only seven had ever reached 100 games, with Winks becoming the eighth (Tottenham).

Harry Kane and Danny Rose are the only other members of the current squad to reach the milestone, with Ledley King, Sol Campbell, Ian Walker, Stephen Carr, and David Howells making up the rest of the list.
