Report: Heung-min Son could play key role in persuading player to join Spurs over Everton

Tottenham are now the favourites to sign Beijing Guoan defender Kim Min-jae this summer, according to the Sunday Mirror (21/06/2020, page 72).

The report suggests Spurs are now leading a number of other Premier League clubs to the signature of the 23-year-old.

Son is expected to have a pivotal role in the potential signing of the defender with his influence said to be a major factor.

It is reported that Beijing Guoan are willing to offload the defender but are looking for a figure in the region of £13.5m.

Kim is a 6ft 3″ defender who is known for his ability to carry the ball out of defence which has attracted attention from a number of Premier League clubs.

Portuguese news outlet A Bola have credited North London rivals Arsenal with interest while Everton are also said to be monitoring Kim, according to The Guardian.

I am sure Heung-min Son would tell Mourinho if Kim was not worth signing, which could prove just as useful to the club as his ability to persuade him to join Spurs if he is worth investing the money in.
