Report highlights the seven players who Spurs could sell this summer

As is always the case with this time of the year, Tottenham have been linked with a whole host of potential signings ahead of the new campaign.

However, reports clearly indicate that the transfer funds made available to Jose Mourinho will be minimal due to the financial hit the club have taken as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic (Mirror).

Football.London have now identified seven players who claimed that the North Londoners could decide to cash in on seven players this summer in order to raise funds for new targets.

The report claims that Mourinho wants to make the squad more balance and the North Londoners can expect to have a busy summer.

It is suggested that a defensive rebuild could be in order with club ready to sell Juan Foyth, Danny Rose, Kyle Walker-Peters and Serge Aurier.

Meanwhile, academy graduates, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Luke Amos and Anthony Georgiou, all of whom had spells out on loan last season could also be on their way out of the club.

Interestingly, Tanguy Ndombele’s name does not appear among those the club could cash in on, with the same publication previously reporting that Tottenham have no intention of letting the Frenchman leave this summer.

With the exception of Serge Aurier’s name, it seems fairly obvious that the other six could leave this summer if the club receive a decent offer. Jose seemed to put a lot of trust in Aurier, which is why I doubt if the Ivorian will leave.

However, it has been suggested that he wanted to leave Spurs for personal reasons last summer. So perhaps he could once again put in a transfer request this summer. It is fair to say that most Spurs fans will not be too upset to see the right-back sold.
