Report: Highly-rated goalkeeper set for first appearance for Spurs age grade

Highly-rated Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Luca Gunter is set to make his first appearance for the club’s Under-18 side after returning from injury, according to Football Insider.

The 16-year-old is said to be regarded as a future first team player and is yet to play for the age grade set-up due to his injury after joining in the summer.

Gunter was offered a three-year scholarship by the North Londoners in June when he was still 15 and in Year 10 of secondary school, with Spurs making a rare decision to offer him a deal a year early in order to secure his signature.

The shot-stopper will compete against second-year scholars Adam Hayton and Aaron Maguire, along with Thimothée Lo-Tutala for a place between the posts.
