Report: Highly-rated Spurs youngster trains with another club after pre-season tour snub

Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-season tour squad announcement not only revealed who would be jetting off to Singapore today, but it also gave an insight into the futures of those left behind.

Take young Marcus Edwards for instance, once the shining star in the Tottenham academy, but a player who has never quite been able to make the step up.

The tricky winger spent last season out on loan to Dutch side Excelsior, but has not been pictured in training since the squad met up again over the past couple of weeks.

Edwards’ snub from the pre-season tour all but confirms that he is not in Pochettino’s plans for the 2019/20 season, and a new Football London article seems to reinforce this claim.

The report reveals that Edwards is in pre-season training with Brentford at the moment as he tries to seal a move away from Tottenham.

However, it is unclear as to whether the 20-year-old will be sold or given another chance on loan.

Would you like to see Edwards given one last chance to impress in England?
