Report: Hojbjerg branded ‘hero’ for rushing to help collapsed man outside Spurs stadium

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been labelled a hero after rushing to help a collapsed man outside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday night, according to the Daily Mail.

The Daily Mail report that a man collapsed outside the Spurs ground following the 3-0 defeat to Manchester United, and Hojbjerg rushed out of his car to offer his help to the individual.

The midfielder was driving out of the stadium before stopping to offer his support after seeing the man in clear distress.

The report claims that onlookers praised Hojbjerg for his compassion, but he allegedly played down his part by insisting he was only doing what anyone else would do.

The man was treated by medical staff at the scene before being taken to North Middlesex Hospital a short trip away.

The 26-year-old Spurs star was also on the pitch when Denmark teammate Christian Eriksen collapsed with a cardiac arrest during a Euro 2020 fixture against Finland.

This is a lovely thing to do from Hojbjerg and it should be recognised even if anyone would have done the same. It is awful that he has been involved in far too many of these incidents this year, including the one against Newcastle.
