Report: Hojbjerg was fuming with one Tottenham defender against Fulham

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was not happy with some of Pedro Porro’s defending in the second half against Fulham.

The Spurs squad has been an extremely tight-knit group this season, with the players repeatedly talking about their being a family feel at the club.

However, cynics will argue that it is easy to maintain that type of atmosphere when things are going well and that cracks will only start appearing when results go south.

Hojbjerg voices displeasure with Pedro Porro

It turns out there might have been some small signs of just that on Saturday as Spurs fell to an embarrassing 3-0 loss to Fulham.

Hojbjerg, who replaced Yves Bissouma on 66 minutes, was reportedly not happy with what he saw from Porro on 77 minutes, with the home side breaking down the left as both Willian and Antonee Robinson had ample space and time to get a ball into the box.

Live on Sky Sports Main Event, The Dane gestured to the right-back not once but twice that he should be closer and putting a tackle in, seemingly unimpressed with the Spaniard’s effort.

Spurs Web Opinion

There is no doubt that we were exposed defensively and I would not put that down to the absence of Van de Ven. Marco Silva clearly spotted a weakness out wide, given the way the Tottenham full-backs invert and the Cottagers exploited it ruthlessly, with Postecoglou failing to adjust.
