Report: How Amazon could result in Tottenham bidding to bring back Gareth Bale

The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that Amazon have emerged as genuine contenders to secure the naming rights to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Nike were also mentioned as potential investors in such a deal.

It was reported that Daniel Levy believes he can land a £25m-per-year deal for at least ten years from a naming rights partner. Of course, Spurs are already working with both Amazon and Nike as part of their upcoming documentary and current kit deal respectively.

Sport have now claimed that fresh investment from Amazon could lead to Tottenham making an attempt to bring former superstar, Gareth Bale, back to the club.

The same publication reported earlier this month that Spurs would not be pressing to sign Bale back due to his high wages.

Bale left Tottenham for Real Madrid back in 2013 and has gone on to win four Champions League titles, as well as netting 105 goals in 249 games for Los Blancos (Wikipedia).

Spurs Web Opinion:

I want a Bale return as much as the next fan, but the only way it would ever happen is if he joins on a free at the end of his contract and takes a huge wage cut. Unfortunately, Bale will likely always remain in Tottenham’s past.
