Report: How far Spurs and Feyenoord are apart in Arne Slot compensation

Rijnmond have reported that Tottenham Hotspur are currently around €5m (£4.35m) short of the compensation fee Feyenoord want to let Arne Slot leave this summer.

The report claims that Arne Slot has told Feyenoord of his desire to leave via talks with his agent this week and conversations are ongoing about a potential departure.

Football Insider claimed this week that both Tottenham and Slot’s camp want to get the deal done to make him the new head coach for the 2023/24 season. The report even stated that a deal could be done by the end of the week.

The Daily Mail also reported that Feyenoord would require compensation of more than £10m to let their manager and staff leave.

Fabrizio Romano added that key talks will take place over the coming hours to discuss the conditions of a potential exit for Slot amidst Tottenham’s interest.

Rijnmond have become the latest to update fans on the Slot situation, stating that the manager has asked Feyenoord to leave but Spurs are €5m short of the valuation required to land him.

Spurs Web Opinion:

If this is the only stumbling block then the deal with get done pretty quickly, I feel. Whatever Spurs have to pay in compensation will still be less than the deals/contracts they gave Mourinho and Conte. Slot is coming in for the long-term, so it is a worthwhile investment.
